Jane
We met Jane in Grenada at Sunsation Tours while researching a documentary about Grenada for Sat.1. We were immediately intrigued by her and she was to become the main protagonist of the documentary. Unfortunately nothing came of the documentation. So we made our own documentary about Grenada and about Jane and her life so far.
Jane was born in East Germany shortly before the Berlin Wall fall down. Her father came from the Caribbean, Grenada, to study in Freiberg, a small town in East Germany. There he met her mom, a student from East Berlin.
Jane: “Thank you for showing this deeply personal journey into parts of my soul, I never thought I’d reveal in this way. To me, this is a love letter to Grenada and my family.”
Sailing & Art – a lifestyle in controversy
They are both sailors and artists and always live in compromise.
I met the couple in August 2014 during the Schooner Festival in Gloucester.

Aurora Ulani
I met Aurora Ulani and her parents Gloria and Holger at the anchorage of Chaguaramas in Trinidad.
They just finished their six year long circumnavigation with their catamaran DHARMA BUM III.
My partner Alwin met DHARMA BUM III already 5 years ago in New Zeeland.
