Sailing Catamaran PEARL - Our floating Home

Sailing catamaran PERLE - Our floating home

Sitting area in the salon

The large headroom in the whole ship is one of the numerous advantages of our catamaran. Another: the large seating area.
It offers all crew members enough space to eat, to talk and to toast with a good glass of wine.

Kitchen

The versatile kitchen leaves nothing to be desired with the most diverse recipes.
It has a 3 burner gas stove with large oven, a fridge, a separate freezer, a double sink with drainer and many appliances that make life on board and cooking easier.
The entire area is located on the starboard side of the salon next to the seating area. Due to the flowing spatial transition to the sitting area and the cockpit, we are not separated from the rest of the crew when preparing meals. We also enjoy a good all-round view while cooking.

Cabins

In each hull, the PEARL has 2 cabins with large double beds, one at each bow and stern, and a bathroom with sink, mirror, shower tray and toilet. The bathrooms are located amidships in the passage between the cabins.
Therefore, each crew member has his privacy, and it is guaranteed a comfortable sleep.
Each cabin has enough storage space and space for personal belongings.
In the berths you will find a selection of books and games on shelves.
All berths are equipped with reading lights.
Sometimes you want to retire privately? No problem!

The cabins are spacious and very cozy!

Aft cabin to starboard

This is our bedroom and TV room.

Aft cabin to port

Here Christine sets up her film studio, when there are no guests on board.

Christine's film studio

Christine likes to work comfortably lying down and can darken her workshop very well during the day.

Front cabin to starboard
This cabin is mainly used as work and storage space. Next to the entrance is our washing machine, which is connected to the adjacent bathroom.
Unfortunately, it rarely looks so nice and tidy.
With more than 4 guests on board, we sleep here and make our cabin available to our guests. This is very rarely the case.
Maybe we will later convert this cabin as a workshop and work space.

Our laundry drying area is located at the rear under the solar panels.

Front cabin to port
Bathroom to starboard
If we do not have guests on board, the Christines bathroom. If guests are on board, we share the bathroom.
Bathroom to port
This is Alwins bathroom. When we have guests, he uses the bathroom on the starboard side.

Cockpit

The spacious cockpit is completely covered with a bimini with large windows in the side walls and in the front and rear walls, which optimally protects against direct sunlight, wind and rain. The front window can be opened for better air circulation, so that it is always pleasantly cool in the cockpit.
For arrival and departure and for driving an anchorage, the front window is also open.
On the port side is a large seating and dining area, similar to the salon, which offers plenty of space for all crew members and additional guests.
The ideal place to talk, eat or for a sundowner.
We spend most of the day in the cockpit, it’s our second living room. On both sides there is a sunbed for relaxing, sunbathing or reading.
If the side walls and the back wall are rolled up, you have a good all-round view, and you feel immediately like on a covered terrace.
Behind the cockpit is still plenty of room for a gear via which the rear steps of the hulls are achieved for bathing or for convenient boarding the dinghy.
The helm station with steering wheel is on the starboard side of the wall to the salon.
From here, the catamaran can be controlled very well protected from sun, wind and rain. But usually this does the autopilot.
The helm is equipped with all instruments necessary for a safe navigation of the ship.
